the Schrödinger equation

$H(t)|\psi \left(t\right)⟩=\mathrm{i}\hslash \frac{\partial }{\partial t}|\psi \left(t\right)⟩$

where $\mathrm{i}$ is the imaginary unit, $t$ is time, $\partial /\partial t$ is the partial derivative with respect to $t$, $\hslash$ is the reduced Planck's constant (Planck's constant divided by $2\pi$), $\psi (t)$ is the wave function, and $H\left(t\right)$ is the Hamiltonian operator.
